
Kim Steger
Project Lead
Kim joined BCPSLS in July 2017 as Communications Specialist and is now Project Lead, responsible for ensuring timely, appropriate, and authentic communication with BCPSLS’s valued partners and stakeholders. Kim also develops and administers a variety of e-learning courses for PSLS users across the province, including a revised patient safety course that was recognized by HSO as a Leading Practice.
Kim has worked in quality and safety since 2003; her previous role helped earn her team a 2017 PHSA+ Award for demonstrating excellence and advancing the organization’s values. Kim also volunteered as a role model for environmental sustainability with the Green+Leader program and received the PHSA Green Commuter of the Year Award in 2014. An IABC Gold Quill winner for the Vanessa’s Law campaign in 2019, Kim has been an evaluator for this international award program since 2023.
A passionate communicator in a variety of media, Kim holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Music in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. She completed a certification in Prosci Change Management as well as training in coaching, project management, lean processes, and healthcare leadership.
