
Annemarie Taylor
Executive Director
Annemarie is one of the original founders of BCPSLS and has held the senior leadership position with the program since it was established in 2008. An active contributor to patient safety initiatives at provincial, national and international levels, Annemarie was recognized by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council with the 2010 Award for Leadership in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
Annemarie received her nursing education at Mount Royal College and the University of Victoria. Working in the clinical areas of neuroscience and pediatric nursing, she was recognized by CRNBC with an Award of Excellence in Nursing Practice. After working for several years to develop community programs and consult on a variety of IT and HR projects, Annemarie chose healthcare quality as her focus, holding positions of leadership in patient safety, quality and risk management at PHSA. She obtained her Master of Arts degree in Leadership at Royal Roads University and completed the CHSRF Executive Training for Research Application (EXTRA) national fellowship program.
