What drew you to healthcare? What ignites your passion? What step – big or small – could you take to make our system better for our patients and their families?
Change Day BC is building on the successful global movement ignited by the National Health Service (NHS) in England. Today, countries around the world are holding their own change days, including Canada, spreading energy and excitement to improve care globally.
In BC, Change Day is being coordinated by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council and a growing number of partners who believe that British Columbia’s health, community and social care systems are powered by the creativity, passion and commitment of their patients, providers and administrators.
BC PSLS Central Office supports Change Day BC and invites you to take part by committing to making a change or trying something new to make healthcare better and safer. We hope you’ll join us and make a pledge for your patients, families, colleagues – or yourself!
Change Day BC is on October 15, 2015…but you can make your pledge and start acting on it now!
Anyone can make a pledge – regardless of where you work or volunteer – whether you are a patient, resident, client, family member, student or someone working in the health or social care system.
Pledges can be big or small. They can be related to any topic of your choice. They are voluntary and a personal commitment to changing care for the better!
Even seemingly small pledges can have a positive effect. When combined with all of the other pledges we can create a tremendous wave of improvement that ripples throughout our healthcare system.
It’s easy! Submit your pledge online at changedaybc.ca and begin acting on that pledge when it’s the right time for you.
Need some inspiration? Check out the variety of pledges from across BC on the Change Day BC gallery of pledges.
So now the question is … what will you pledge? 1 Day. 5000 Pledges. Unlimited Possibilities.
